How to pick the right agency for you...
Outlined below are just a few questions we feel you should be asking yourself prior to committing to working with an agency:
1. People – What does your gut instinct tell you about someone, do you trust them do they have the same values as you do, can you see yourself working with them over a long period of time ?
2. Experience – Who have they worked for, which sectors have they got experience in ? Is it purely local / regional or do they have national presence ?
3. Contacts – Are they well connected across various media channels (print / radio / TV / online)
4. Measurement – How do they measure success ? Measuring it by equating column inches to the equivalent advertising media value is outdated and makes for lazy accountability.
5. Fees – Are they looking to tie you into a minimum term contract or are they happy to work on a results based on-going basis ?
6. Creativity – Do they come up with innovative ways of achieving coverage for their clients ?
7. Delivery – Are the people you meet actually going to be doing the day to day work for you or will they outsource it ?
8. Additional Services – What else do they bring ? Do they have additional sales, marketing or communication skills which would be useful such as promotional marketing or trade marketing ?
